Caring Connections Volunteers assist the elderly and disabled to remain independent in their own homes.

Caring Caring Connections Volunteer Programs of Aging and Community Services of South Central Indiana, Inc., offer many opportunities to get involved and help people.  Volunteer opportunities can easily be worked in with your schedule.  It doesn’t take much effort to get involved and the reward of helping others is endless.

Caring Connections volunteers provide assistance with:

• Grocery Shopping
• Emergency Grocery Shopping
• Errands (post office, pharmacy, etc.)
• Transportation to local doctor appointments
• Friendly Visiting
• Leaf Raking
• Snow Shoveling
• IRIS (Indiana Reading and Information Service – reading to the visually impaired)
• AARP Money Management

Volunteers

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please complete the downloadable Application and return it to the Caring Connections Coordinator.  The Coordinator will then interview you to make an appropriate match of your interests with clients’ needs.

Volunteer Groups

Volunteer groups are always welcome.  Groups help with larger projects such as fall leaf raking, outside window washing and winter snow removal.

Are You Interested in Receiving Volunteer Assistance?

If you are interested in receiving services from a caring volunteer, please call the Caring Connections Coordinator.  The Coordinator will make a home visit to learn about your needs so that an appropriate volunteer match can be made.  In general, the program requires one week’s notice to schedule assistance by a volunteer.
