Thrive Alliance volunteers assist the elderly and disabled to remain independent in their own homes.
The Thrive Alliance Volunteer Program offers many opportunities to get involved and help people. Volunteer opportunities can easily be worked in with your schedule. It doesn’t take much effort to get involved and the reward of helping others is endless.
Thrive Alliance volunteers provide assistance with:
- Senior Nutrition Program: Substitute Meal Delivery Drivers, Senior Food Distribution Project, Matter of Balances Coaches
- Help with the Thrive Alliance Annual 5K Run/Walk (on April 12, 2014)
- Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) (Public Awareness and Education on Medicare fraud/waste)
- Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) - Medicare Counseling
- Money Management
- Help with other special events

Volunteer groups are always welcome. Groups help with larger projects such as fall leaf raking, outside window washing and winter snow removal.
Are You Interested in Receiving Volunteer Assistance?
If you are interested in receiving services from a caring volunteer, please call the Caring Connections Coordinator. The Coordinator will make a home visit to learn about your needs so that an appropriate volunteer match can be made. In general, the program requires one week’s notice to schedule assistance by a volunteer.
